About this event
Since its formation in 1920, the League of Women Voters has fought to empower voters and to strengthen and defend our democracy. Today's threats to our constitution and the rule of law require us to vigorously speak out and remind our elected representatives they need to be responsive to the will of the people. Please join our joint Rally with the Manatee County League. Wear your League t-shirt, if you have one, or a white top. Adding something patriotic, like a stars and stripes scarf or hat, is encouraged!
Rally signs will be provided. If you wish to make your own non-partisan sign, this document about the principals on which the League was founded may be helpful.
