The Primary Election is finished and congratulations to the winners. We have nine busy weeks before the General Election.

LWV has two events in September focusing on that election that you don’t want to miss. The first is our Food For Thought breakfast on Friday September 12. Jeremy Wallace, Political Editor for the Herald Tribune, will discuss issues that relate to the November election. Those that have heard Mr Wallace in the past have found his insights interesting and informative.

Then, on Monday September 22, Dr. Frank Alcott, professor of political science at New College and political commentator at ABC 7 news, will speak on the three proposed amendments that will be on the November ballot. Voters always need explanation and clarification on these amendments, so invite your friends and neighbors. Dr. Alcott has spoken to LWV before, and has been very helpful in clarifying these issues.
